Reclining Ladies

The Recline

Tatted Ladies

Tatted Ladies is a collection of tattooed women taken from the Taschen collection, 1000 Tattoos. This is the second weaving using Taschen black and whites, the first was on exhibition in El Dorado, Arkansas at the South Arkansas Arts Center. After photographing the images, the pictures are shredded and woven into a group weaving incorporating many posters, signs, and statements on current issues. This weaving was inspired by the call for tattoo inspired art and seeks to be an empowering documentation of strong women. (sold)

The Recline is a collection of 18th century women taken from the Taschen collection, 1000 Nudes. After photographing the images, the individual pictures are shredded and woven back together in a collaged-weaving effect. While there are others in this series, this particular weaving was inspired by an open call on relaxation and seeks to be an empowering documentation of strong women.
