Ellis Angel’s provocative weaving, All Are Welcome, has been selected for the Monmouth Museum exhibition (March 2 – April 13, 2025). The piece boldly confronts themes of immigration, democracy, and protest, challenging viewers to reflect on America’s core values and current policies through powerful, symbolic art.

Ellis Angel reflects on creating the Families Belong Together weavings, using protest posters from the 2018 march. This post explores the ongoing fight for humane immigration policies, the impact of fear-mongering rhetoric, and a call to vote for compassionate leadership in 2024.

Ellis Angel’s weaving, What Is America . . . The New Colossus, has been accepted into the 25th Annual National Juried Competition and Exhibition at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences. This mixed media piece, created from Emma Lazarus’ iconic poem, will be on display from May 20 to July 4, 2023.
